Dear Sisters in the Lord,

Praise the Lord! What a privilege that the Lord has brought us together to fellowship and to study His Word!! You ladies are such a blessing! We have set up this blog so that we can keep in touch during the two weeks between the Bible study. I know that some of you may be a little apprehensive about this new technology, but it is easier than you think.

Sisters, this blog is for you to share your ideas and thoughts about the topics that we will post. There will be inspirational quotes, testimonies, scriptures, etc. for you to respond to.  Please share what the Lord is speaking to your heart. We are here to encourage one another--so please don't be afraid to join in the discussions. And, don't worry--if we feel that you are not quite at the deeper truth that is there in the post, we will gently nudge you in the right direction WITH LOVE.

Also, if you have questions, please ask us and the group. We do ask, also, that everyone be kind and patient with one another. There may be times when we do not see an issue from the same viewpoint, but we are still sisters. Let's help each other to become that unspotted Bride that the Lord wants us to become.

So, jump in, and God bless!!

Mrs. Walker and Dr. Reese

Esther Chapter 2

Mrs. Walker | 09/14/2008, 05:40

Hello, Ladies, I really enjoyed the Bible study yesterday. Several things stood out to me, but two of the most prevalent were family influence, and obedience. Family- what is put into your life is reflective of your personality and what you become. Mordecai, raised Esther to be a fine woman of God and how she conducted her life was reflective of this. Obedience- Because of her obedience to God and her Uncle, she went on to become a woman of wisdom, power, and a catalyst in saving her people. Unfortunately, we may not all be raised in the best of homes, sometimes it may have been very dysfunctional. However, when we allow God to enter our lives, we are able to over come the adversities and hardships we may have experienced. We are then able to allow God's word, love, and the Holy Spirit to heal us, teach us, guide us, and change us into wonderful women of God.
